Golden peacock

Hi,

My sister's baby shower was on Sunday. Of course it was a traditional indian style ceremony that was going to take place. I decided on gold, red and green. These are traditional colours to my region. I picked the dress first. Its a rich dark red interwoven with light golden threads, highlighted by green and golden embroidery with diamante style border. Its worn with dark green leggings and a stole style duppata (the whole thing is called chudidar in India).

I had a hard time trying to figure out my mani, but I know it had to be gold with red.

So here's what I worked out. 

After I finished stamping, I felt it needed a bit something so I added dots in green on ring finger to compliment the dress. :)

Base: Lakme Metallics 040

Stamping: BM 212 with red konad

Highlight: green acrylic paint

Flower Power

Hi,

Please excuse my week long hiatus. My parents left yesterday for Canada on a month long vacation and I was helping them pack, plus we had a long weekend last week so I was completely off the computer, and out with my mom helping her shop for the trip. This mani below, is what I was wearing last week. I had wanted to do a nude base since quite some time and a full nail stamp design. So thats what I did.

 Base: Nude from Streetwear

Stamping: Konad violet pearl with BM 205

Although the top coat smudged the stamp a bit, I thought the overall look was quite cute and girly.

I also put a few nail stickers in pink to make it fun.

Oh! and if you are from Canada or know about it, can you recommend any polish brands for holographic,crackle and stamping polishes(non konad kinds), that  I can call for. Ciao

Navy Crown

Hi,
This week I have been wearing OPI's Russian Navy from my last weeks Haul.
Applied base coat and put 2 coats of Russian Navy. Its a classic navy blue with tons of purple shimmer.

Stamped it using Konad's special silver and BM216

I had to capture it using a flash, else the shimmer wasn't showing.

My weekend Haul !! :)

Hello All,
As an amateur nail artist, I realized that my inventory is lacking certain must haves. So I went about looking for a few things this weekend. Here's what I ended up with.

From L to R:

Makeup sponge, VLCC anti tan pack, M&S Cocoa butter and Peach almond hand and body lotion,

nail art rhine stones in gold and black, streetwear in barely nude, Lotus herbals' Ocean Love and Cozy Mulberry, OPI : DS Reflection and Russian Navy and a dotting tool arrived from ebay.

Not saying that I got all that I wanted, but with the limited choices that we have I picked these. I am still lusting after a few good metallics and flakies.
