Stay Quirky Nail Polish Review : Winnie Pooh Nail Art

There's a new brand of polishes in India and they are called Stay Quirky. Of course got me curious to check them and they sent over some polishes for review.

First up is the quirky nail art that I did.
Base: Stay Quirky Sunny side up (link)
Hex nail Vinyl on the ring finger with Sally Hansen Black heart sponged on
Stamping plate: OB-3
Stamping polish Konad black

Heres a plain swatch of the polish!

Initially I wasnt sure of the shade..thought it was a bit too bright on me. Neither golden nor yellow.
But after a bit it grew on me and I quite like it! Its really bright and good to lift up your mood on a dreary rainy day!
It has a nice satin finish..dries decent (say 5-7 mins)
This shade is sheer..what you see above is 3-4 coats and VNL is there.
Price: Rs250/- for 8ml!! its a bit steep if you ask me...but usually the brand has some kind of promotions going on and these are priced between Rs.80-120/- mostly.

They have a wide range of finishes..something that other brands in India need to catch up to. Satin/Leather effect, Sand effect, gel finish, some glitters, usual cremes, pastels etc. I found the jersey effect and the duo chromes to be most interesting. Although this satin finish is also quiet nice and not easily available here in most brands in India.
The brand has listed shade names on the site but there is no name on the bottle, which makes it a bit difficult to remember the shade or finish. Most nail addicts I know can see a shade and recollect the name so that is a tad inconvenient if you ask me to go back to check it online or have to make my own label and stick it on. They have various shades in different sizes like 6ml, 8ml and 11ml. Though that seems odd. Some have shade names mentioned and some dont. The brand has communicated to me that they are working to change this and will get names on the bottles soon. This one in the review is blank, doesn't have anything written on it. So while I am off to make my label, You can check out the other shades here: Link

Have you used this brand yet? Let me know how you like it.

Dreamy metallic swirls

Mostly I use metallics for stamping but this time around I used it as a base and I really liked how smoothly this one goes.

Base: 105 tutti fruity from NewU
Stamping polish: dancing in the streets from M-polish (really nice metallic sheen)
Stamping plate: BP L-003 (purchased by me link)
Top coat SV

Here's a swatch of the base in its own:

Goes smooth and not as streaky as I thought this would be considering its a metallic base.
Most streaks settled down on their own. One coater!! Should stamp well on dark bases.
Might get a few more of these newu metallic polishes. A couple of friends had success doing watermarble with their cremes too. Definitely worth getting at Rs.75/- a bottle.
