Whassup! I am pretty bored these days..need to plan a trip or do something exciting.
Do you wanna see any tutorials on my blog? Is there anything that you would like to see more?
I need some new ideas, or maybe I just need new polishes and plates :D

What do you do when almost everything bores u? :-/

Coming back to my mani for today.
I have a new polish. Its Inglot's 320. Its a  little sheer pearly kind of finish.
This is 2 coats and I still have VNL (visible nail line)

Its a nice shade, but somehow I am not drawn to it.

Base: Inglot 320
Stamping Polish: Konad Purple
Stamping Plate: BM 209
Dots: Lakme gold and Streetwear Fuschia Pink
Topped wit SV

Would you suggest any other combo with this kinda green?
I had a hard time coming up with this. and I didnt wanna do the obvious black.

Layering: Inglot 924 + Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlett

Yessss! we are almost through with this weeeeek!
Thats the feeling I get after wednesday is over :D (or I keep thnking that till I feel that..cool na?)

Anywho! Today on my nails is Inglot's nail enamel 924.
This 924 is a true blue red. A proper red..in all sense of the name...RED.

This is 2 coats of 924..smooth creme and glossy. Dries quickly too.

Kleancolor Chunky holo scarlett
Then I layered it with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlett and I call this "Homemade Ruby Pumps" :D

And...
Stamped with XL F in Lakme Color Crush 01 (Gold)
This combo is quite suitable at Indian weddings too.

Closeup of the party on my nails!!!

I love love love Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlet. It has duochrome small hex glitters that change from deep red to bright orange.

I think my camera got a bit too excited and made this very bright..But I loved the pic so I didnt change brightness/contrast on this pic..left it as it is.

I usually don't layer much..but I did this time and I totally loved the effect.
Did you?

Inglot 720 Nail Enamel + Striping tape nail art

Now I no more enjoy this summer. Its getting waaay too hot here in Mumbai. Feels like I step out into an oven. But I am certainly having fun using these bright summer nail polishes! yum yum!

Today I am showing you Inglot's 720 Nail enamel.
The funny thing about this shade is; it wasnt written matte on the box or the bottle..and yet it is.
I was pleasantly surprised when this dried pretty fast to a matte bright coral-pink.
These days I am all in love with mattes and pastels.

Inglot nail polish 720
Do you like matte polishes? I loved this one..plan to make a another mani using this soon.

With this I used a light holo-green striping tape. I've kept this mani very minimal as I didnt want to cover the base much. So I've used striping tape and criss-crossed it on my ring finger for an accent.

Added a matt top coat to seal the stripe. Simple yet chic...think so?

Inglot Nail Enamel #955 + water decals

Hiiiieee,

Inglot has become one of my new favourite brands for cosmetics, you'd know if you've seen my latest Inglot Haul post.
Although I find their NPs a bit high priced at Rs. 490/- ($10).
Inglot says their are "Durable, matte, medium drying time formula DOES NOT CONTAIN:- toluene- formaldehyde- dibutyl phthalate (DBP)- camphor Apply two coatsMake sure that first coat is completely dry before applying second one. Some shades look best with three coats. NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS 15ML/0.51 US FL OZ "
I am happy about all that, but its still highly priced. Ok! Enough ranting.

This shade 955, is a sweet periwinkle blue with creme finish.
I could just stand at Inglot NPs counter all day andjust keep swatching :)
I just looove thier colourful displays!!
At 2 coats I did find it a bit streaky and slightly patchy (see patch on ring finger top left corner).
Also I found the brush to be very small. It takes 3 strokes to cover my nails. But the variety of shades makes up for it :D

I used water decals for this mani as I was at moms place for the weekend and did not have all my nail art tools.

I really like how convenient decals are when you dont have too much time to do an elaborate mani.
Decals still grab attention and are super easy to use.

Like it?

Inglot 924 + Inglot Flakies 202

Hiiiiieee,
Quick post today. I am trying to rush to office and finish as much work as possible coz m going out-of-town on a river rafting trip in the middle of next week.. Eeeeeeehhhhhooooooo!

Please continue to Ogle at Inglot Flakie #202.
This one's a orange to green colour shifting flakie polish.
This is absolutely stunning in person. Remember the shiny red gift wrapping paper that has a slight holograpahic tint at edges? Thats what this was looking like.
I tried taking pics in sun but the glossy effect wasnt letting the flakies shine thru so I went back under shade.
Stamping Colour: Konad White
Plate: M2
The base is Inglot 924: a medium tomato red shade

Ignore the mess on cuticles, I wanted to clean up after I applied the flakies.

"The dance of the Flakies"  hehe

I love love the shiny shimmery dance the flakies do on my nails!
So far I have been trying to use a base colour that is a part of  the spectrum of the flakie shine.
Once I swatch them all I'll do different bases..like blue under 203..Watsay?
Do you have flakies? or plan to buy them?

* Unless otherwsie stated: All products have been bought using my hard earned money

Inglot 835 + Flakies 203

Hi,
I had got a bunch of Inglot polishes and a few flakies some time back.
There has been a lot of interest generated around flakies.
Below is a swatch of Inglot nail Enamel 835.
Cost: Rs.490/- for 15ml ($10). It was quite sheer, what you see below is 3 coats.
Its a purple with pearl finish with a really small blue shimmer.
The bottle looked like it would be a duo-tone polish, but it isn't.
Surprisingly the brush of Inglot's nail enamels is really small. I had to put atleast 3 swipes to cover my tiny  nails..which can be a bit tiresome if you have broader nails.

Inglot says: these are toluene- formaldehyde- dibutyl phthalate (DBP)- camphor free.
Below is a bottle pic of #203. See how the flakies dance in light.
Cost: Rs.490/- for 8ml. ($10)

Inglot has 2 kinds of flakies.
One of them is the series from #201 to #207 which are smaller bottles ($10/Rs490/- for 8ml) in size but have densely packed flakies. One coat is quite sufficient to give the flakie effect but you can do 2 for more shine.

The other one is the XL series. ranging from XL1 to XL7: These costs the same but have a bigger quantity (15ml). These less dense than the #201-207 series. I got XL7 from this series (will swatch soon.)

This is one coat of #203 over #835.
These flakies give a nice jewel toned effect.
#203 is duo-toned; changing from blue to green in various angles of light and will also reflect a bit of the base colour.
These feel pretty smooth and not at all gritty and were easy to remove as well. Not at all like the glitters.

Hope you liked #203. Will soon swatch the other flakies too.

Naked Palette dupe from Inglot

Hi Ya,
If you've read my latest haul post you'd know by now how much trouble I went through to lay my hands on "The" Naked palette. I also know quite a few of my friends and fellow bloggers who would wanna get their hands on "it".
Unfortunately it is not easily available in India and a lot of other countries as well. (Hhmmph...are you listening Urban Decay/Sephora?)
Fortunately we now have Inglot at our hands. The first time I walked in this store I was pretty impressed by the sheer number of shades in each colour that they have. If you want a brown e/s I could see atleast 20+ shades of brown e/s which differ by finish, colour, tone and size. I was super amazed. And of course they have some of the prettiest nail polishes. I soo wanted to just sit there and swatch them all. (drroolll..have you seen their flakies!). I have also heard rave reviews of their eye shadows and blushes and concealors and ohh I could go on and on.
Anywho, I was still rejoicing my naked palette and I thought: Why cant I dupe the Naked Palette in Inglot?
So armed with my own palette I went to Inglot's store in Mumbai and requested if they would be kind enough to help me search the closest dupes and let me swatch and picture them. I explained to them what I was looking to do.
They agreed. Deepa- a make up artist at the store agreed to help me with my quest. Thank you Deepa!!
She enthusiastically set out by picking up the visibily closest pans from the freedom system. Once done, she agreed to swatch both the UD palette and the Inglot picks on my arm. We did encounter a few setbacks. Some shades that visibly seemed a match were not. We went back to the board and tried to figure out a few other options.
Disclaimer:
Before you start looking: these opinions are my own. If you don't like them please don't respond negatively. I am by no means an acclaimed MUA to be 100% accurate on eye shadow shades. I am just doing this up enthusiastically to help out people who do not have access to UD's naked palette but would like to put together something similar. And oh..please don't copy the pics. Feel free to link this post. I really put in a good 2-3 hours to reach the store to swatch and another 4 hours to edit pics and write this out.
Be considerate.

Without further ado:

The first four shades:

1) Virgin: Pale shimmery nude/ 395P: pretty close match. Slightly less pigmented. I would say 95% close.
2) Sin: Light pink with hint of peach, frosty/397P: warm peachy-beige. 95% close.
3) Naked: Matt beige-brown/390M: matt beige-brown..Slightly lighter than Naked. 85% close.

4) A had slight issue finding a good match for Sidecar: Shimmer beige bronze with slight pink undertone/ AMC S46: more beige less shimmer; 85% close/ DS 463: Had slightly more pink undertone but similar shimmer; 90% close/
Eventually Pure pigment 14: turned out a better match than other two; 95% close.

The second four shades

5) Buck: Chocolate brown matte/ 357M: Medium brown Matte. Pretty close. 98%
6) Half Baked: Gold with red undertone/ AMC S34: Gold with copper undertone. 98% close
7) Smog: Dark browny bronze with slight hint of gold at certain angles/409P: Browny bronze, cooler undertone, similar finish. 95% close
8) Darkhorse: Dark brown with bronze shimmer/422P: Dark brown/bronze pearl finish, slight red undertone. 90% close.

Last 4 shades:

9) Toasted: Pink-brown shimmery. This one gave me trouble too/ AMC S12: Looks visibly similar but swatches more beige than pink/ 399P: Swatches more pink with frosty look. Swatched 399P on AMC S12 and it comes really close. 95% I'd say. But if I had to pick one, I'd go for 399P.

10) Hustle: Brown with burgundy undertones/423P: Medium Brown with slightly more burgundy. 90% close.
11) Creep: Dull black with flecked silver and teal shimmer/AMC65: Dark black, more pigmented with flecks of silver and teal shimmer; 90% close
12) Gunmetal: Grey blue metallic flecks of teal shimmer/ AMC S47: grey blue metallic, lesser flecks of shimmer. 95% close

See more swatches.
Same order of shades as per UD palette, starting from bottom to top

Economics: Price Vs Quantity:
The UD palette costs: $ 48 (approx Rs. 2500); each e/s 1.3gm*12= 15.6gms
Inglot refills: $ 5each (Price in India Rs 300; (current sale price Rs.240/-); each e/s 2.7gm*12= 32.4gm
Inglot 12 e/s: $ 60 ( Rs.2880/- in discounted price)
For approx $12 more (Rs.380), you'd get double the quantity of e/s with an 90% match of shades with good finish and quality. Downside no UD primer. (but if you had access to UD primer then you'd have bought UD palette also and wouldn't be reading this :P )

I hope you enjoyed this.

If you feel any other shades come closer than what I have found, please feel free to share in the comments and I will check them and edit accordingly.
