Advanced stamping Nail art : Roses

These are the longest nails i've had in quite a while. I wanted to do a decal mani before I had to trim them a bit. Love this length but I constantly worry about breaking them or hurting kiddo.

So I made some stamping decals for this.

Base: Dance Legend Scout
Stamping polish: MDU Pastel Yellow
Stamping plates: BM XL-205 (roses) and BP-L020
Filled roses with DL shock
All topped with HKgirl

This is a beautiful shade! I just looooooove DL polishes!!
Love love love!!! <3 p="">

Mandala Nail Art with stamping decals

After I long time I sat down and did a full advanced decal mani that I had been wanting to do since I got this cute mandala plate BP-L52 (#36310 ; link)

Base: Chambor Gel effect nail lacquer (white 510)
Stamping plate: BP L-052 (#36310 from born pretty store)
Stamping polish: MDU 2 (black)
Decal filled with Chg: glow with the flow, treble maker, daisy know my name?
All topped with hkgirl

Here's how the decal looked before I put it on my nails. This chambor polish in white makes a very good base for decals as it doesnt dry crisp and it was very easy to take the decal off the stamping mat as it stretched and bent without tearing off. Definitely a must have polish if u love making decals.

Now moving on to the stamping plate. I got this plate from Born pretty store and I had been saving it to make decals when I have enough time to make a full decal mani, not just accent. This plate is very versatile and it has hollow designs which are very good for making decals. The designs are comfortable to fill in decals and not too tiny. The etching was perfect and I could pick up crisp designs. You can also make circular gradient and use these mandala designs to stamp normally for an eye catching manicure.
This plate retails for $2.59 and is very reasonable at this price (link to this product).

Born Pretty Silicone Mat Review

Sometime ago the lovely people at Born Pretty store sent me this silicone mat (link; #34556) for review and it just the thing I needed!! This mat is so versatile and easy to use. And it also serves as a base to protect your work surface from all kinds of polish and acetone spills.

This mat is the large version at approx 28x21cm.
It has both light and dark areas so its very convenient to make decals with all kinds of shades
There are printed swatch places and circles along with a small ruler measurement to make bigger decals or customized decals. It comes with a cardboard box for storage which is very useful and keeps the dust off your mat.

I used the mat for the first time to make a drag marble decal as water marble is still something I am unable to produce. After using this mat to make drag marble decals I was quite pleased to say that the results turned out quite well. Almost as good as a water marble manicure.

Base: Knocked Up nails French Pink and Fierce Fabulous female
Born Pretty Mat used to make drag marble decals.

I cant wait to play around more with this mat!
It retails for approx $7 (link; #34556) and is completely reasonable when compared to some other pricey mats in the market. Also the plus point for this mat is the underside of the mat has a rubbery surface which sticks to your working surface so the mat doesnt slide anywhere.

A silicone mat is certainly a must have for any nail art enthusiast and Born Pretty store mat certainly lives up to my expectations.

Cute hearts with Picture Polish Merge

Picture polish released this pretty shade earlier this year and I got around 10 pp straight from Aussie. (follow me on IG to keep up with my hauls ( @nailartnthings ); got loads from mdu, ucb, bm and another mdu is on its way.
Somebody take away my internet pls!! This is my worst ever no-buy phase !)

Base: Picture Polish Merge
Stamping plate: Uber chic beauty 1-01
Stamping polish: MDU Nabu
All topped with HKgirl
For the mani I made decals so as to get the placing right..Still havent got my hands on a jelly stamper.

Its a really pretty Taupe-nud* on me. Filled with loads of silver flakies which look lightly scattered holo when the lights hit it. Goes opaque in two coats (one thin, one slightly thick) Dries super fast just like most pp; even in this hot humid weather. Have a look upclose at this one (macro below).
Its a shade that will suit all skin tones and look good on any occassion.

Another brilliant polish from Krizia enterprise

This one is called Maleficient; a powerful mysterious charcoal grey holo glitter.

Krizia Barbie Swatch : Floral nails

Another stunning polish from Krizia Enterprise!

Base: Krizia Barbie
Stamping plate: Uber Chic 5-02
The accent flower decals were filled with Fun lacquer 24-Karat
Stamping polish: Konad black
All topped with HKgirl

Look at the holo!! Its a purposely taken blurred pic to capture the holo so you can see how blingy it is coz I had a hard time capturing the holo. Took 120 pics of the mani just to capture some holo :p

This one is called Barbie. Its a proper barbie type pink colour with a cool undertone. Barbie is a micro holo glitter in a clear base. It gives a very strong scatter holo effect.

I loved the whole holo glitter effect it gives. Yes now we have India's first proper scatter holo polish!!
It doesn't contain spectraflair holo but more like the effect you get from some of the first fun lacquer glitter holos.
Decently priced at Rs.300/- for 10ml for these holo glitters and Rs.200/- for other creme based polishes. I think these are quite nicely priced to be budget friendly and claim to be 3-free.
The cremes have been reported to water marble well too.
You can contact them on their FB page to buy (india only) and they will courier/speed post the stuff over to you (link). They also have a cuticle oil and a mani bomb in their line of products. The cuticle oil is very nice and I have tried it a few times. Yet to try the mani bomb though.
Here's a macro shot of Barbie.

Gorgeous isnt it?

Floral Nail Art: Advance stamping decals

Made some advance stamping decals while taking a short holiday at one of the hill stations nearby.

Forgot to carry small scissors and tweezers. Had to make do with some rather uneven scissors found in my dads shaving kit! hence the awkward cutting around my decals.
Nonetheless loved the bright cheery colour combination.
Base: Faces matte Ibiza (orange) and maybelline sweet sunshine (yellow)
Stamping plate: Cici and Sisi 03
filled the decal with a mix of acrylics and polish
topped with SV

see ya soon!

Geometric Nail Art : Advance stamping technique

Hear Hear! I tried stamping decals again after my earlier disastrous effects..encouraged by my friend Puja from cutenailstudio.blogspot.com/ She does some real fab designs. And mine turned out way better than what I thought. So yeah I am on a stamping decal roll!
Once you get the hang of this thing its quite addictive :p

Base: Maybelline Colorshow Black out
Filled the design with: Models Own Turquoise Gloss, Faces Matt Ibiza, Yellow is Maybelline Sweet Sunshine
Stamping Plate: Cici and Sisi 04
Stamping polish: Konad Black

These are my decals on the stamp. Left them to dry for half an hour and lifted them from the sides. Came out quite nicely and as you can imagine I placed a few orders for more such stamping images that can be filled and squishy stampers too.

See ya soon!

Stamping decals nail art: Advance stamping technique

I tried. It's been on my list for sooooo long to make stamping decals but the whole idea seems to be just quite long.

Here's my trial:

I m not too happy with this. It turned out crinkled and didn't seem to stick well. Yeah my nails kinda dried by the time I reached my ring finger. So I have a few edges poking out despite TC.

But on the positive I think the combo was nice. Don't you?

Have you tried decals? If so would you know why mine crinkled? Tell me.
