Tangle Triangles

I have almost finished my lot of unposted manis, barring a few swatches.
Will try and catch up now on a few review packages still left.
This one turned out quite nice me thinks.

Base: Essie Lounge Lover (coral) , Essence Gossip Girl (lavender)
Stamping Plate: BP L040 (#34589 link)
Accent: Twinkled T spiral nail vinyls sponged with Krizia Purple Haze
Stamping Polish: Mdu nabu
Here are some other designs on this plate:

I really like this stamping plate from Born Pretty #34589 with geometric full nail designs in diamond and triangle shapes. They show off the base colour and yet give the nail a full designed look.
This plate retails for $2.59 but one can get this cheaper during their discount promotions.
I had no trouble picking up the images from this plate even during very humid conditions in the monsoon season here.

Vinyls and Nails

Another one.
In love with Dance Legend polishes! They are super awesome..the holo flakie is awesome, they dry super fast. Its just difficult to get hands on them directly from russia. I managed to get quite some needless to say the effort was worth it. hehe.

Base: Dance Legend Behind the scenes
Gold polish: Barry m gold foil
Vinyls: Thorn stencils from Whats up Nails

Spiral Illusion

Sometimes when it turns out right with Nail Vinyls I really like the result.
Base: Krizia Into the Blu (took ages to dry)
Vinyls: Twinkled-T Cyclone Variety Pack
Sally Hansen Dri-Fast Silver Sweep
Pointer and pinky finger freehanded with SH silver sweep

Here's a swatch of Krizia Into The Blu.
It took ages to dry..I bumped a nail after an hour and it still made a bad dent. It might be the humid weather here says the maker of krizia so we'll see how it goes post the monsoons here. Its a pretty blue with holo glitter but not as holo as I expected. Goes opaque in 2 coats.

Glitter nails using Vinyls

It was kiddo's 3rd birthday the last week and as usual there was a mad rush to arrange things for a last minute birthday party we had for him. (yeah I really need to plan that in advance next year)
So I wore a long green to black gradient dress and had a completely different mani in my head for that dress but as it was a last minute things this is all I could pull off.

Base: KB Shimmer Kind of a Big Dill
Accent: Sally Hansen black heart
Vinyls: Angel Nail Studio X pattern
Fun Lacquer King was sponged on the vinyls
All topped with SV

Swatch Krizia Purple Haze : Simple Nail using vinyls

Another Krizia beauty from their new range of holo glitters
Krizia Purple Haze is a purple leaning to blue with micro glitters in a tinted base.
2 coats to opaque but this needed more time to dry. I suspect the hot humid weather here is causing this. Slightly patchy but the second coat almost smoothes things over.

Base: Krizia Purple Haze
Deep V using straight nail vinyls and sponging Jordana LA City nights
All topped with HKgirl

Fun Lines using Krizia Recessionista

Another stunner from Krizia Enterprise
In Sunlight
Base: Krizia Recessionista
Pointer: Nail vinyls, painted over with Miss Claire A4
Rest of the fingers: free handed with Miss Claire A4
All topped with HK girl

In shade
This one's called Recessionista and its filled with micro pink and purple glitter with bits of holo.
It dries to a matt gritty finish and takes a top coat to bring back the sparkle.
Takes 2 coats for full coverage but I would give it 10 minutes in between coats to dry if you are in a humid place like mine.

Triangle Story

I have a sudden inclination to all stamping plates geometrical

So this formed in my head and looked way cooler and easy to do. Especially after you see a bunch of vinyl videos and they make the whole thing look like a breeze. And then you feel like a pro yourself ..lol!

Yeah this mani got me to my knees! but lets skip the unpleasant part.
Base: Maybelline porcelain party
Highlights: ChG Go with the flow, ChG DJ blue my mind
Stamping plate: B.Loves plates Geometry is perfect
Nail Vinyls: TwinkledT (the cyclone variety)
Studs: from Forever 21 (gifted to me by my bro and sis-in-law)
All topped with HKgirl

Stay Quirky Nail Polish Review : Winnie Pooh Nail Art

There's a new brand of polishes in India and they are called Stay Quirky. Of course got me curious to check them and they sent over some polishes for review.

First up is the quirky nail art that I did.
Base: Stay Quirky Sunny side up (link)
Hex nail Vinyl on the ring finger with Sally Hansen Black heart sponged on
Stamping plate: OB-3
Stamping polish Konad black

Heres a plain swatch of the polish!

Initially I wasnt sure of the shade..thought it was a bit too bright on me. Neither golden nor yellow.
But after a bit it grew on me and I quite like it! Its really bright and good to lift up your mood on a dreary rainy day!
It has a nice satin finish..dries decent (say 5-7 mins)
This shade is sheer..what you see above is 3-4 coats and VNL is there.
Price: Rs250/- for 8ml!! its a bit steep if you ask me...but usually the brand has some kind of promotions going on and these are priced between Rs.80-120/- mostly.

They have a wide range of finishes..something that other brands in India need to catch up to. Satin/Leather effect, Sand effect, gel finish, some glitters, usual cremes, pastels etc. I found the jersey effect and the duo chromes to be most interesting. Although this satin finish is also quiet nice and not easily available here in most brands in India.
The brand has listed shade names on the site but there is no name on the bottle, which makes it a bit difficult to remember the shade or finish. Most nail addicts I know can see a shade and recollect the name so that is a tad inconvenient if you ask me to go back to check it online or have to make my own label and stick it on. They have various shades in different sizes like 6ml, 8ml and 11ml. Though that seems odd. Some have shade names mentioned and some dont. The brand has communicated to me that they are working to change this and will get names on the bottles soon. This one in the review is blank, doesn't have anything written on it. So while I am off to make my label, You can check out the other shades here: Link

Have you used this brand yet? Let me know how you like it.

(Discailmer: Polish sent for review. Opinions are honest and unbiased)

Hexy Neons

Tried another set on nail vinyls I was sent for testing. This one is still in the making. Will update vinyl details when available. I tried to apply polish directly but it leaked under the vinyl so I redid with sponging a gradient and it turned out well but not as crisp as I would have liked.

Base: China glaze Electric nights Daisy know my name? and Go with the flow on maybelline porcelain party
Sponged ChG home sweet house music with the base of adjacent finger on vinyls
Topped with SV

Morrocan Nail Art

Nail Vinyls are giving me an excuse to push my schedule and do some nails. Easy to use and look so neat and nice! Here's some vinyl love:

Base: Newu Celebration (shade 140 from glitterati collection)
Vinyls are from Twinkledt: Almaz
Accent is Metallic shade 040 from lakme on the vinyl
Stamped with Guilded from M-Polish
Stamping plate BP L-003 from bornpretty store
Topped with HKgirl

I am quite liking these stamping polishes from M-polish. They don't stink and show up well on light and dark colours. (link)

Heres a swatch of celebration from Dabur's newu.
Base is a Blackcurrant pop from Maybelline colorshow
Topped with 3 thin coats on Celebration. Love the iridescent blue and small holo glitter in it.
Looks very pretty in sunlight..but I didnt have any :(
