Shades of Wazowski

So who doesnt remember Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc. A one eyed green spherical monster that everyone liked for being the best bud to Sulley. Dance Legend made a collection of duochrome polishes on these monsters and each is certainly desirable as the other.

Base: Dance Legend Wazowski
Stamping Polish: Konad White
Stamping Plate: BM S104

Here's a swatch catching the duochrome shift in action

Krizia Christian G Swatch and a Damask pattern

Named after the infamous Christian G. from The fifty shades of grey; it is a cool toned grey with what you might initially see as speckles of dust which are actually really minute flecks of glitter.

Base: Krizia Christian G.
Stamping plate: BP L-007
Stamping polish: Konad yellow
Accent Maybelline  Glittermania Starry Night

Miss Nails Polish Review: Houndstooth Nail Art

Here's a simple classic from my file archives from last year.

This is a new brand in India called MissNails and they have very cute bottles with crystal like etching on the cover. They are available on flipkart and retail for Rs.129/- for 16ml bottle.

Base: Miss Nails MN11 Classic Nude
Accent: Maybelline glided rose
Stamping plate:BP L-006
Stamping polish: Konad black
Topped with HK girl

Here's a swatch of the polish.

Its a very nice nude in creme finish. 2 coats are shown here.
Matches my skin tone very well to do nude lace nails or even a classic french.
The dry time is decent. 10-12 mins. I really like the glossy shine of the polish..it was bit more glossy than the usual cremes you find in India.
Overall good value for money and Nice shade!

Disclaimer: Polish sent for reviews. However reviews are my own and unbiased.

Hi! Hope everyone's having a good year so far!
I did this for my anniversary in december but held on to posting it coz I was busy posting the seasonal manis. Which now reminds me I seriously need good plates with some nice firework images.

Base: Essie Candy apple topped with Orly Sparkling Garbage
Stamped using konad black
Stamping plate: B.Loves Geometry is perfect

This pic has come out slightly yellow than actual coz it was taken late in the evening closer to sunset.

I love how sparkling garbage sparkles!

Stay Quirky review Crazy Good Sand Effect

Another mani with my new SQ polishes

Base: SQ So crazy
Stamping plate: B.Loves Mind blown 03
Stamping polish: Konad black

Crazy Good (link; available on purplle.com) is a shimmery medium turquoise blue shade; with a sand effect finish. I really like this shade and this is something that I was looking forward to when Maybelline had launched their glitter mania line. But that was very few shades and was missing a turquoise in particular. This polish has very fine shimmer and super fine glitter. It can be a bit tough to remove it, so I have used a glue base under this polish.
I applied 2 coats in the pic above. It dries fast..3-4 mins.
Price is Rs.150/- for 8ml (mrp is Rs.200/- and they have some promotions going on).
The brand says its a part of the sand effect line where you can get gritty granular effect.
Started chipping on the tips on the 3rd day.

Rainbow Gradient in Glass Effect

Hello!
This is a new one for me. I tried stain glass colours on a base of silver glitter and the effect looked very nice and shiny. I kept the plain base for a couple of days which is why you can see the edges of the nails have started to show. These colours are very versatile you can thin with using water and also get a nice tint effect and fill in your designs using lead light technique too.

Base: Small silver glitter polish (local unbranded)
Fevicryl Stain glass colours applied using a flat paint brush 2-3 coats
Stamping plate: B.Loves flower power
Stamping polish: Konad white
Topped with hkgirl

Neon Illusion

I bought the China Glaze electric nights and finally sat down to watermarble.
I tried and I tried and I wasted so much polish..waaaay too much polish!!
Then I just sponged on a few different colours and got this:

The stamping went a bit off..I think it was due to the new squishy stamper I was trying and probably didnt prime it properly.

Base: Maybelline Porcelain Party
Sponged on: 5-6 shades from the China Glaze electric nights collection
Stamping plate: B.Loves Mind Blown
Stamping polish: Konad black
Topped with HKgirl

Geometric Nail Art : Advance stamping technique

Hear Hear! I tried stamping decals again after my earlier disastrous effects..encouraged by my friend Puja from cutenailstudio.blogspot.com/ She does some real fab designs. And mine turned out way better than what I thought. So yeah I am on a stamping decal roll!
Once you get the hang of this thing its quite addictive :p

Base: Maybelline Colorshow Black out
Filled the design with: Models Own Turquoise Gloss, Faces Matt Ibiza, Yellow is Maybelline Sweet Sunshine
Stamping Plate: Cici and Sisi 04
Stamping polish: Konad Black

These are my decals on the stamp. Left them to dry for half an hour and lifted them from the sides. Came out quite nicely and as you can imagine I placed a few orders for more such stamping images that can be filled and squishy stampers too.

See ya soon!

Chic pink

Took a long break didn't I?
Although I haven't really gone anywhere I've just been lazy to post.
Instagram seems quite convenient as compared to blogging and I see most bloggers happily taking to that. But as most of them I too still love my blog more so let's keep it alive.

Here's a mani I did a few months ago.

Base: Miss Claire A18 (that's the name they gave this pretty shade). It seems to have become my go to favourite for a bright pink.
Accent fingers: Maybelline All that Glitters from their glitter mania range.
Stamping plate: OB38 stamped with maybelline bold gold.
The studs are from born pretty store.

Trying to finish my backlog of unposted manis here's one I did. But am not fond of it. Something about the combo put me off.

While I love the glitter top coat called Pride by 27 polish. Bought this a couple years ago from their etsy store. I think the  yellow stamping on grey base didn't turn out as I imagined.
Base: china glaze white out and recycle
Glitter top coat: Pride by twenty seven polish.
Stamping polish: konad yellow
Stamping plate: BM 201
All topped with SV.

Starry gradient nail art

Gradient nails are super easy and fun and I keep making mental notes of the different combinations I want to try. One of them is this metallic gradient going from champagne gold to bronze-y brown.

Base: miss claire champagne gold (it actually has no shade name, just a number), Maybelline bold gold, Lakme metallics 241 and chg chiaroscuro.
Stamped with Konad black using Pueen 44.
Topped with Girl HK tc.

The below pic is before clean up but I just wanted to capture the base gradient. It would work really well for parties as well as normal day to day base coz it's not too blingy.

See ya soon with another mani.
