Classy Glitter Gradient Nail Art

So far I've been a bit shy to put on heavy glitter based polishes coz its a bit-o'-pain to remove them. But I see these gorgeous polishes lying in my stack and the temptation become too strong to resist! So here I am with another glitter mani with some polishes I had won in Mrs.Rexy's giveaway. (The first I won everrrrrr!!)

Base: Violet Divine
I am not fond of this base. Its streaky and uneven :-/
But since I was gonna cover with glitter, I didnt mind it

First I layered Icing's Tiger's Blood in a single light layer over my nails.
Next I layered Icing's Epic Winning halfway down my nails.
Then I dabbed a bit of Icing's Rock star from Mars near the tips.
Lastly I applied Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia half way down again.

The second, third and fourth bottles were used.
(Pic is from my winnings post here)

The pink sheen and glitter is from the Kleancolor C.Holo Fuschia

I am completely in love with this gradient glitter mani. Its very suitable for weddings and occasions which call for a bit of bling.

(*I think this mani is perfectly apt for an Indian function/bride where a girl has a lot going on her hands (mehndi, loads of other jewellery, heavy embroidered clothes encrusted with crystals etc) and may not wanna change her mani often for each function/occasion. I base colour like this would suit most clothes and the gradient glitter just about gives that classy bling without going OTT. Plus since its glitter, it lasts longer on nails too*)

Like it??

Glitter glitter everywhere!

Thats it!! I've jumped into the glitter bandwagon.
Ever since glitter polishes started appearing on blogs I've been drooling over them.
But then I also read that they were a pain to take out, which stopped me from trying them.
Also as I was packing for my rafting trip, I realised I wouldnt get time to polish my nails on the trip and I didnt wanna lug weight with me as I knew we'd have to carry our bags to the camp at the riverside.
So I had to put on a mani that wud last me atleast 5-6 days. This is my "eureka".
Lasted me all of 6 days of which 4 days were spent rafting atleast 2-3 hours each day.

Base: Colorbar exclusive 18
Icing:  Epic Winning
WetnWild: Party of five

I had won the glitters from Canadian Nail Fanatic in her giveaway last year

I have applied the Icing glitter halfway down the nail and WnW Party of Five 1/3 rd way to the tip as I attempted a possible gradient effect.
Party of Five is a good dupe for Deborah Lippmann's gorgeous Happy Birthday.

Verdict: I would strongly recommend glitters to anyone who doesnt like to change their polishes often or to those who wanna save some bag space on a trip.

Now some picture spam from my trip :D

The camp I stayed at..next to the Ganges!

I am under the big wave, sitting first on the left.

He is one of the instructors at the rafting camp!!!! (Drool!)

My Winnings from Canadian Nail Fanatic

Hi Ya!
Do you remember when you were really young and not feeling well?? How your parents or elders would try to cheer you up by getting some gifts? Thats what I felt when I received this.
I seem to be in a bit of a lucky roll lately. This is the 2nd giveaway I have won recently...(actually I won this last Nov, but the prize just reached me this year). I was feeling a bit sick and was down with cold, cough and fever when I received this. And believe me not, I felt 10 times better in the next 5 mins :)
I won this from the lovely Canadian Nail Fanatic that was a part of her birthday giveaway.
Do check out her blog, she makes these really fab and cute manis.
Another pleasant surprise: I had won only 3 Icing polishes, but Mrsrexy generously gave me a stamping plate and a perfume sample too with a sweet note!!! Enjoy the pics!

See why Epic winning is sooo gorgeous!! Cant wait to use them!
